TNTEU PhD Education Admission 2020 - Dates, Scholarship, Application Process

Applications are invited by Tamil Nadu Teacher Education University (TNTEU) for admission into PhD Program in Education for January 2026 session.

• Notification Date for Ph.D. Admission: 23.01.2020
• The last date for submission of filled-in Application is on 17.02.2020
• The date for Entrance Exam and Interview: Informed by Post/email to eligible candidates
• The Cost of Application is Rs.750/- (Rs.350/- for SC/ST/PWD) only.
• The entrance examination will be conducted only in the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University Campus, Karappakkam, Chennai-97.

Eligibility

Master's Degree in Education(M.Ed.) or B.Ed and M.A. in Education or it's equivalent from rec. University.

Selection Process 

Admission to a Ph.D. degree program depends on the marks acquired in the Entrance test and interview. 

Competitors who have qualified UGC NET/SET/SELT in Education are excluded from the Entrance test and interview. 

The entrance test will be led uniquely in the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University Campus, Karappakkam, Chennai-97. 

Date of Entrance Examination and interview will be educated to the qualified aspirants by Post/email.

About University

The Government of Tamil Nadu sanctioned Act No.(33) of 2008 to accommodate the foundation and consolidation of Teachers Education University in the State of Tamil Nadu for advancing greatness in educators' instruction. Further, the Act became effective from 1.7.2008 by a Gazette Notification gave in G.O.M.S.256, Higher Education (K2) Department, dated 25.6.2008. Dr.N.Ravindranath Tagore, Associate Professor, Department of Tamil, Presidency University was selected as the Registrar I/c, and third Controller of Examinations of this University.
