Pattern for RGUHS Ph.D. Entrance Exam 2020

The entrance exam is conducted in two parts namely

  • Principles of basic Research methodology
  • Specialty paper

There are separate papers for specialty subjects and basic research methodology with 50 marks each.

Each question paper comprises of 10 questions of 5 marks each .

Principles of basic Research methodology

The Principles of basic Research methodology syllabus is as follows

  • Writing an article for scientific journals

  • Bioequivalence
  • Processing, statistics and Analysis of Data
  • Sampling Fundamentals
  • Interpretation and Report Writing
  • Sampling Design
  • Measurement and Scaling Techniques
  • Methods of Data Collection
  • Principle and methods of fundamental research method, literature, drug and research problem survey, clinical research
  • Clinical Trials.

Specialty paper: The Specialty paper Syllabus content will usually be equivalent to the prospectus and books endorsed for Post-Graduate Course for that subject according to Regulations of Central Council as well as the Rajiv Gandhi Universities of Health Sciences. 


Penalty for wrong statements

Selection Process

Candidates with MDS or Dental PG Diploma are Eligible for the enlistment of Ph.D. Course in Dentistry in concerned subjects as it were. 
Physiotherapy
Candidates with a PG degree in Physiotherapy i.e., MPT degree granted by this University or a Master's qualification considered as identical by RGUHS are qualified for enlistment to Ph.D course in Physiotherapy in concerned subjects as it were. 
Health Sciences Library and Information System (HSLIS)
Candidates with Masters Degree in Library and Information Sciences or a Degree considered as proportionate by RGUHS are qualified for enlistment to Ph.D. courses in Health Sciences Library and Information System (HSLIS). Inclination will be given to the aspirants who have finished the PGDHL course from RGUHS. 
Pharmacy
Candidates with M.Pharm, Pharm-D, and Pharm – D (PB) degree granted by this University or a College/University perceived by AICTE/PCI/RGUHS or a P.G. Degree in Pharmacy considered as proportional by RGUHS, are qualified for enlistment for the Ph.D. course in Pharmacy. 
Ayurveda
Candidates with Ayurveda Vachaspathi (M.D (Ayu) )/Ayurveda Dhanvanthari (MS (Ayu) in Ayurveda in every one of the claims to fame granted by RGUHS or a proportional P.G. capability granted by some other College/University perceived by CCIM/RGUHS are qualified for enlistment for Ph.D course in concerned subjects of Ayurveda as it were. 
Naturopathy and yogic sciences
Candidates with a P.G. degree in Naturopathy and Yogic sciences granted by RGUHS or a proportional capability in the concerned claim to fame from an establishment perceived by RGUHS/CCRYN are qualified for enlistment for Ph.D. course in Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences. 
Unani
Candidates with a post advanced education in Unani, granted by RGUHS or an identical capability granted by a College/University perceived by CCIM/RGUHS in the concerned forte are qualified for enlistment for Ph.D. course in concerned subjects of Unani. 
Homeopathy
Candidates with M.D. in Homeopathy degree granted by this University or a proportional P.G. capability granted by a College/University perceived by CCH/RGUHS are qualified for enlistment for Ph.D. course in concerned subjects of Homeopathy 
Nursing
Candidates with M.Sc in Nursing degree granted by this University or a College/University perceived by INC or a P.G. Degree in Nursing considered as equal by RGUHS/INC are qualified for enlistment for Ph.D course in concerned subjects of Nursing. 
Radiation Physics
aspirants with M.Sc in Radiation Physics granted by RGUHS (OR) 
M.Sc in Medical Physics (2 years course with one year temporary job) granted by other University considered as proportionate by RGUHS (OR) 
M.Sc Physics + One year Diploma in Radiological Physics 
Clinical Psychology
aspirants with M.Sc in clinical Psychology granted by RGUHS (OR) 
M.Sc in Clinical Psychology granted by other University considered as comparable by RGUHS (OR) 
M.Phil in Clinical Psychology with M.Sc in Clinical Psychology 


How to Apply for RGUHS Ph.D. Entrance Exam 2020 

  • Print out of use filled on the web, alongside verified duplicates of every single required authentication will be sent by post or face to face for enrollment to "The Registrar, RGUHS, fourth 'T' Block, Jayanagar, Bangalore – 560 041" by 15/02/2020, preceding 5.00 P.M. 
  • Aspirants should super copyist on the spread as "Application for Ph.D. Entrance Exam-2020". Applications are liable for rejection

  • If Incomplete.
  • If Photograph not uploaded.
  • If the applicant has not signed in the application.
  • If supporting documents (Enclosures) not attested.
  • If eligibility is not fulfilled.
  • If photographs are found mismatched in the application.
  • If photographs are not recent one and not attested by a Gazette Officer.


Guidelines to Candidates 

  • The competitors will be available in the middle 30 minutes before the beginning of the Exam by 9.30 A.M 
  • No competitor is permitted after 10:00 AM. 
  • Just the competitors who have the Hall Ticket will be permitted to show up for the Entrance Exam. In the event of loss of Hall Ticket, the Aspirants should contact the Chief Superintendent of the middle one hour sooner for help. 
  • No Candidate will duplicate from the paper of some other Aspirant or license his/her own papers to be replicated or endeavor to give or look for any unlawful help. 
  • No applicant will be permitted to the assessment corridor after the initiation of the Entrance Exam. 
  • No applicant will be permitted to leave the assessment corridor before the finish of the initial thirty minutes. Competitors leaving the lobby before the finish of the Entrance Exam should hand over the inquiry paper to room invigilator and gather the equivalent toward the finish of the Exam. 
  • The applicant should sign the participation sheet according to the guidelines of the invigilator. 
  • Quiet should be seen in the assessment corridor. Any applicant saw as blameworthy of cluttered or ill-advised direct will be at risk for removal from the assessment lobby and will be suspended from the Entrance Exam by the Chief Superintendent of the inside. 
  • Aspirants are not allowed to convey any electronic devices like Pager, Cell Phone, Bluetooth and so on., into the assessment lobby.
