Duration of the Programmes
- The duration of the program is counted from the date of registration.
- Minimum duration in technology, engineering, and management and allied programmed 36/ 48 months.
- Minimum duration in Science & Humanities for Full-time/ Part-time shall be four/five years
- The maximum duration shall be an additional three years.

Rules For Admission
- A candidate who wants to take admission to Ph.D. is required to write the entrance examination.
- A candidate who has cleared the entrance examination shall be called for the personal interview. In the interview, candidates are required to discuss their research interest/ area before a duly constituted Departmental Research Committee through a PowerPoint presentation.
- After verification of original certificates and payment of the prescribed fee structure for Ph.D. selected candidates shall be provisionally admitted for the Ph.D. program.

- The entrance examination consists of 50% subject-specific questions and 50% of the research methodology.
- Candidates will be exempted from writing the entrance examinations who have cleared Teacher-Fellowships/MPhil/NET/SLET/UGC/CSIR(JRF)/other National level eligibility test.
- To qualify for the personal interview candidate should secure 50% marks in the entrance examination.
Interview
