Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University
As per the arrangements of the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University Act, 1963, a portion of the Colleges of Agriculture and Veterinary Science were moved from the Universities to which they had been associated to the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University during June 1964. These were: College of Agriculture and Veterinary Science, Hyderabad (built up in 1961, associated to Osmania University), Agricultural College, Bapatla(established in 1945, partnered to Andhra University), Sri Venkateswara Agricultural College, Tirupati (set up in 1961, subsidiary to Sri Venkateswara University) and Andhra Veterinary College, Tirupati (set up in 1961, likewise subsidiary to Sri Venkateswara University). Also, 41 Agricultural Research Stations, working under the Department of Agriculture and four Research Stations of the Animal Husbandry Department were moved to the University in July 1966 and May 1967, individually.
The University was officially introduced on March 20, 1965, byShri LalBahadurShastri, the then Hon'ble Prime Minister of India. Another Significant achievement was the introduction of the University's structure program by Smt Indira Gandhi the then Hon'blePrime Minister of India on June 23. 1966. Subsequently, the University was renamed as Acharya N G Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) on November 7, 1996, in respect and memory of an exceptional Parliamentarian, Acharya N.G. Ranga who rendered remarkable self-less administration for the reason for the ranchers and is viewed as an exceptional educationist, Kissan pioneer and opportunity warrior.

Qualification criteria
Pass in two-year Intermediate Examination led by the Board of Intermediate Education or some other examination perceived as identical thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with the accompanying subjects in particular:

Age
- Contender for induction into this course in the University will be required to have finished 17 years old with an upper age point of confinement of 22 years as on 31st December, 2026.
