Eligibility for PhD
- The candidate must have a PG Degree from a recognized University securing not less than 55% marks or equivalent CGPA at the Post Graduate Degree. The marks will be converted into a percentage of marks to assess the minimum eligibility criteria if the results of Post Graduate Degree are declared in the form of grades/credits / cumulative grade point average.
- Candidate has to pass the entrance exam in the subject in which they wish to pursue Ph.D.
- OR
- The candidates must have been awarded a research fellowship by national-level organizations such as ICMR/ DBT / UGC / CSIR / ICAR.
- OR
- Qualified in the SET-TS / AP / JEST / UGC-NET / CSIR-NET / GATE / GPAT Examination
- OR
- Candidate should have M.Phil. Degree through regular mode in the concerned subject.
Ph.D. Eligibility Test:
The general pattern of the eligibility test is as follows:
- Maximum marks for eligibility test: 100
- Nature of Test: Objective type with MCQs.
- Syllabus for entrance test: P.G. syllabus of the concerned Department.
The minimum marks for qualifying the Ph.D. Eligibility Test
- Open category candidates: 40%
- BC candidates: 35%
- SC/ST category candidates: 30%
- Physically Challenged categories are allowed a relaxation of 5% marks.
Ph.D. Course Work and Examination:
- After temporary induction into the Ph.D. program all the enrolled up-and-comers will take up the Ph.D. course work in the particular principle grounds P.G.
