Categories of students

• Full-Time Students: Applicants who join full-time programs are required to devote full time on campus for Ph.D. Some candidates may be offered research/teaching/project assistantship. Those candidates are required to assist in teaching/laboratories under the guidance of a mentor.
• Part-Time Students: Applicants will be admitted under this category who are working in organizations situated in close vicinity of University.
• Sponsored Students: Applicants will be admitted under this category who are employees of Organizations/Industries having collaborations with university.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants should have a postgraduate degree or equivalent with not less than 55% marks from a recognized Indian University. 
• Candidates who are belonging to Differently-Abled/SC/ST/OBC and other categories will get a relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade.

Selection Process

• Candidates will be selected on the base of overall performance in Entrance Examination, Post Graduate degree, Personal Interview, and facilities available.
• Candidates who have sponsored projects and have qualified CSIR/UGC NET, they will be given preference.
• Written Entrance Test: Qualifying marks for entrance tests are 50%. The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% shall be subject-specific and 50% of research methodology. Candidates may be exempted from the entrance test who have qualified the UGC/GPAT/GATE/SLET/CSIR (JRF)/NET/M.Phil. or any other national level test after graduation. The interview is compulsory for all applicants
• Personal Interview: Candidates will be selected for a Personal interview who clears the written entrance examination.
