Kerala University MBA Admission 2026 - Application Process, Dates, Fee Details

One of the first 16 Universities in Quite a while, the University of Kerala was established at the University of Travancore in the past regal territory of Travancore (a presently southern piece of Kerala and some neighboring pieces of the province of Tamilnadu) in 1937. During the 7 decades since the University of Kerala developed and contracted genuinely and changed itself from numerous points of view. It is hard to abridge what Kerala University is in a concise space.

The most punctual roots of the University might be followed back to two foundations of current learning in Kerala, the University College, Thiruvananthapuram, and the Trivandrum Observatory. The University College was first established as the Maharaja's Free School by Maharaja Swathi Thirunal in 1834, with Mr. John Roberts. A Christian Missonary as Headmaster, and before long developed into a school in 1866, partnered to the Madras University. At the point when the University of Travancore was established, the Departments of the school turned into the University Departments, possibly to switch back again when the change to the University of Kerala occurred in 1957. The University College despite everything holds its association with the University as a partnered school. The Trivandrum Observatory was established in 1838 and had a universally presumed researcher, John Caldecott FRS as its first Director. It turned into a piece of the Travancore University, however for quite a while was regulated as an autonomous government establishment. It is currently the most seasoned organization under the Kerala University.
