Admission Process

  1. Eligibility Criteria

    • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must qualify JEE Main to be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.

    • JEE Advanced: Only candidates who clear JEE Main with a high percentile are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.

    • Age Limit: Candidates should be born on or after October 1, 1998 (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/PwD candidates).

    • Number of Attempts: A candidate can attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in consecutive years.

  2. Application Process

    • JEE Main Registration: Register for JEE Main through the National Testing Agency (NTA) website.

    • JEE Advanced Registration: Qualified candidates from JEE Main need to register for JEE Advanced through the official JEE Advanced website.

    • Choice Filling: After qualifying JEE Advanced, candidates must fill their preferred courses and institutes during the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counseling process.

  3. Seat Allocation

    • JoSAA Counseling: Seat allocation is done through the JoSAA counseling process based on JEE Advanced ranks, preferences, and seat availability.

    • Seat Acceptance: Candidates must accept the allocated seat and complete the admission formalities within the stipulated time.
