Housing Schemes

The Government of Pakistan has launched several housing schemes to provide affordable housing to low and middle-income families. Here are some key initiatives:

1. Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP)

  • Objective: Provide affordable housing to low-income groups.

  • Features:

    • Subsidized mortgage loans (low markup rates).

    • Installment plans over 5–20 years.

    • Preference for low-income families, widows, and government employees.

  • Eligibility:

    • Pakistani citizens (18+ years).

    • Monthly income up to PKR 60,000 (for low-cost housing).

    • No existing property in the applicant’s name.

2. Prime Minister’s Low-Cost Housing Scheme (PM LCHS)

  • Target: Low-income families, daily wage earners, and laborers.

  • Benefits:

    • Interest-free or low-interest loans.

    • Subsidized construction costs.

  • Application: Through banks (Bank of Punjab, HBL, etc.).

3. Apni Basti / Ashiana Housing Schemes (Punjab)

  • Launched by: Punjab Government.

  • Features:

    • Affordable apartments and plots.

    • Installment plans available.

  • Locations: Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot, etc.

4. Sindh Affordable Housing Scheme

  • For: Residents of Sindh.

  • Features:

    • Subsidized housing units.

    • Easy installment plans.

5. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Scheme

  • For: Residents of KP.

  • Features:

    • Low-cost housing projects.

    • Preference for martyrs\' families and low-income groups.

  • Visit the official website (Naya Pakistan Housing Authority (NPHA)).

  • Submit required documents (CNIC, income proof, etc.).

  • Check updates via Bank of Punjab, House Building Finance Company (HBFC), or other partnered banks.
