Structure for Ph.D. Entrance Exam
- Total marks for the entrance exam will be 100 and the entrance exam will be open to suitably qualified candidates.
- The entrance Exam Paper will consist of Two Parts - Part 1 (Research Methodology) and Part 2 (Concerned Specialty)
- The total number of questions will be 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- 20 MCQs will be based on the syllabus of the Research Methodology.
- 30 MCQs will be based on the syllabus of the concerned specialty of the applicant.
- There will be no negative marking for a wrongly answered MCQ and each MCQ will be worth 2 marks.
- There will be four options for each MCQ.
- The time duration of the entrance examination will be for one hour.
Syllabus for Ph.D. Entrance Exam
- For Part A (Research Methodology): An Introduction to Research Methodology, Defining the Research Problem, Sampling Fundamentals, Testing of Hypothesis, Interpretation and Report Writing, Methods of Data Collection, Methods of Investigation, Research Design, Sampling Design, Processing and Analysis of Data, Role of Computer in Research.
- For Part B (Concerned Specialty): The syllabus for the concerned specialty will be the same as the Post Graduate degree programs of various faculties.
Duration of Research
- Candidate cannot submit their thesis before two years of registration.
- For a part-time Ph.D. minimum duration will be 4 years.
- Candidate can submit their thesis for a maximum period of five years from the date of registration.
Ph.D. in Faculty of Ayurveda
- Candidate should have MD (Ay.) in any ayurvedic subject with at least 50% marks.
- Candidate must have 50% marks in a postgraduate degree.
Ph.D. in Dental Science
- Candidate should have MDS in any dental subject with at least 50% marks.
- Candidate must have 50% marks in a postgraduate degree.
Registration
