To create new scientific knowledge this includes the ability to independently apply methodologies of scientific research. Skills to undertake and to effectively communicate research results are needed in order to succeed in postgraduate studies. Thus, it is important to assume an adequate knowledge and understanding of the problems, research methodologies, historical developments, theory formulation and societal importance of the scientific disciplines which are related to the candidate’s own research field.

Admission Process

• Through an Entrance Test consists of written  University shall admit Ph.D. (both Full Time and Part Time-Internal and External )
• The admission will be based on norms of the UGC and other statutory bodies concerned.
• The Atmiya University will admit candidates by a two-stage process through:
• Entrance Test: The Entrance Test (AUMPET) shall be a qualifying test for admission with qualifying marks as 50%. The syllabus of the AUMPET shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject specific–as per syllabus of paper II of *UGC NET/CSIR NET examination in the concerned subject
