Eligibility criteria

• For Engineering Departments: Candidates must have a Masters Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks (or CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale) from a recognized University/ Institute.
• For Science Departments: Candidates must have a Masters Degree in Science with a minimum of 55% marks (or a CGPA of 6.0 in 10 point scale) from a recognized University/ Institute.
• For Humanities, Social Sciences, and Religious Studies Departments: Candidates must have a Masters Degree in Humanities, Social Science and Religious Studies with a minimum of 55% marks (or a CGPA of 6.0 in 10 point scale) from a recognized University/ Institute.
• For Management of Business Administration Department: Candidates must have Masters Degree in management studies with minimum 60% marks (or CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale) from a recognized University/ Institute.

Selection Procedure 

The University will concede candidate through a confirmation test directed by the concerned Department and whenever qualified, he/she needs to show up for a meeting to be led by the concerned Departmental Research Committee (DRC). The composed test will qualify in nature. The composed test is deferred for up-and-comers who have qualified in SET, SLET, NET, GATE, UGC/CSIR (JRF). About University 

In 2001, the Government of West Bengal, under the bearing of the prominent educationist and the then Governor of West Bengal and Bihar, Dr. A. R. Kidwai, framed a Madrasah Education Committee. This Committee introduced its suggestions for the proceeded with advancement and future greatness of Aliah Madrasah in 2002. Aliah University Library* has begun working at Salt Lake Campus since March 2010.
