Eligibility

• A candidate holds Master's degree with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST/PH/VH/category candidates) for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy must, at the time of application, or an equivalent grade of Deemed University.
• If the candidate does not possess 55% marks at Master degree he/she has at least 7 years of experience of research/teaching/industry to get registered for the Ph.D. degree.

Admission

Candidate should submit the application form on or before the due date declared by University. For interview short-listed candidates will be intimated as per rules.

Syllabus for Ph.D. Entrance Examination

• The syllabus will be based on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) syllabus of separate modules for engineering branches 
• The syllabus will be based on the NET/SLET Exam for English /Mathematics/ Computer Science /Chemistry/Physics branches
• The syllabus will be based on CBSE-NET for Management.

Entrance Test

• Qualifying marks for Entrance Test are 50%. The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall be 50% of subject-specific 50% of research methodology. 
• Candidates shall be exempted from appearing in the entrance test who have passed M.Phil programme and candidates who qualify the UGC-NET (Including JRF) UGC-CSIR NET (Including JRF) SLET/ GATE/GPAT.

Interview

• For the proposed research the candidate possesses the competence.
• At the Institution the research work can be suitably undertaken.
• On the merit of interview/viva-voce, final merit shall be based.
