The Doon Valley institute of Pharmacy and Medicine (DIPM) was established in the year 2004 with B. Pharmacy course, and affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Now the college offers B.Pharmacy and M,Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology) courses duly approved by AICTE and affiliated to Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. The faculty is highly qualified, experienced and updated with the latest knowledge. Pharmacy is the health profession that links the health sciences with the chemical sciences and it is charged with ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs. It is the branch of science which deals with the study of chemistry of drugs, their origin, procedures for drug development, their preparation, dispensing, their effects and eventual use for prevention and treatment of diseases.
DIPM believes in imparting latest skills and knowledge to pharmacy students by having a very strong industrial institute partnership eel I. We have industrial tie up with multi nationals pharma companies for drug research in pharmaceutics, pharmacology, clinical trials and regulatory affairs. We undertake industrial training and trips for updating the knowledge and bridging the gap between academics and industry. The advancement pharmaceutical drug research is changing from molecular pharmacology to genomics, proteonomics etc. The growth of Indian pharma industries is very fast and is exporting drug/ Pharmaceuticals/ cosmetics/ diagnostics/ neutraceuticals all over the world.
